The Secretary-General learned with sadness of the passing of Brigadier General Yaye Garba, Deputy Force Commander of the African-led International Support Mission in Mali (AFISMA), which occurred on Saturday, 11 May, in Bamako, Mali.
The Secretary-General offers his sincerest condolences and sympathy to his family, and to the people and the Government of Niger.
